Macbook Pro Early 2011: Should I Update my computer to an SSD/SSHD or my Ram? Speakers not working early 2011 macbook pro
Question MacbookAir6,1 (Early 2014) External Display Issue Question A1278 MBP 13.3" not charging - not switching on - only green led I am confident enough in my abilities to change things. Sorry that was all a bit long winded I hope someone can offer some advice. Will it start up and be like my old machine? I am currently using the original 60w charger and the Macbook does not turn on if there is no battery. Or can I simply swap my harddrive into another machine. Is it possible to use a 85w on a Macbook Pro 13 inch (early-2011) that does not have a battery. If so could I simply swap the logic boards. I get the faint green/orange light in the magsafe connector.ĭue to the expense of a new logic board I might as well buy a secondhand MacBook pro in same year model etc. I changed the magsafe board and gave everything inside a cleaning, but it still refuses to show the battery status, or turn on. It worked intermittently when the battery was disconnected and has now stopped working altogether. When I reconnected the battery everything was fine for a couple of days and then the computer wouldn't turn on again. I disconnected the battery and the computer worked OK. I thought it was the battery at first, but when I connected the magsafe lead I got a faint green and orange light. I recently purchased and installed the 16GB RAM upgrade for this model from Crucial, BUT I have not noticed much of a difference in performance. Then while I was working one day it died. My sister has an early 2011 model MacBook Pro 13 inch with the 2.3 i5. Then 2 weeks ago my Magsafe charger broke so I replaced with another from Apple. I cleaned it off and the Mac worked afterwards. A couple of weeks ago some coffee was spilled on the table I was working on and some (not much) got onto the logic board.
